11/01 to present: WCBU/Bradley University, Peoria, IL. Program Director. (Responsible for programming focus and overall sound of station. Manage program schedule, recommend and implement changes as appropriate. Oversee operations, promotions and local program production. Analyze and interpret audience research to measure success of station’s programming. Critique performance of all on-air staff. Program and host daily air shift. Maintain public inspection file. Supervised installation of new on-air console and renovation of production facilities.)

 

01/04 to 10/04: WCBU. Interim Executive Director. (Overall management and direction of station, including personnel, budget, development and administration. Ensured compliance with FCC regulations, grant requirements, and university policies. Represented station to Advisory board, university administration and community stakeholders. Filled 2 vacant positions. Prepared and submitted application for renewal of FCC license. Secured Sound Partners grant for coverage of elderly health care topics.)

           

01/01 to 07/01: New Hampshire Public Radio, Concord, NH. Producer. (Helped create and launch a new, daily interview program. Generated topic/guest ideas.  Pre-interviewed guests. Wrote interview scripts and notes for program host. Recorded and edited interviews for broadcast. Produced interviews and features for program. Fill-in news host: evenings, mid-days, weekends.)

 

09/97 to 01/01: NH Public Radio. Music Director/Operations Manager.  (Programmed mid-day classical music.  Hosted daily classical music program.  Supervised classical, jazz, and folk music hosts.  Selected and scheduled music and cultural programs for local broadcast.  Maintained music library and database.  Produced interviews and features for music and news programs. Scheduled and recorded network feeds using SOSS downlink equipment and AudioVault automation software.  Helped plan on-air membership drives.  Member of station management team.)

 

08/96 to 07/97: Northern Lights Public Radio, Grand Forks, ND. Program Operations Manager. (Programmed and hosted daily classical music air shift. Hosted weekday news programs. Trained, scheduled and supervised part-time announcers. Managed recording, routing and playback of network feeds. Assisted Chief Engineer with maintenance of SOSS, studio and computer equipment. Compiled and wrote operations manual for on-air staff. Programmed and hosted jazz, AAA, and other programs as needed.)
